Over the past decade or so, I have been writing travel essays, almost exclusively about working in Africa. I have worked in Africa (about 15 countries to date) for about two and a half decades and have many thoughts on it. So many of the blogs you will see below are these essays- not your traditional travel essays, although I might throw some of them in from time to time- but thoughts of my work experience over the decades in places that honestly most Americans will never see.
As a travel advisor I am hoping that many of you will be able to experience a little piece of this. It is not always perfect, not always easy, not alway fun, but it is always enlightening and I would not change my years of travel experiences, even the most bumpy and rocky, for anything.
